Wales has reported a week with zero deaths from COVID-19 for the first time since the pandemic began, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has said.
A total of 102 deaths registered in England and Wales in the week ending 18 June mentioned coronavirus on the death certificate, according to the ONS – up 21% on the previous week.
It is the first time the number of deaths has been above 100 since the week ending 21 May.
All of the 102 deaths were registered in England.
Wales reported one death involving COVID-19 in the week ending 11 June.
